Fungal ball (Candida Tropicalis) causing near total occlusion of the inflow of a mitral bioprosthesis

A 30-year old female patient who presented with multi-organ failure due to Fungal prosthetic mitral endocarditis (Candida Tropicalis in blood cultures) and critical mitral stenosis. At emergency redo mitral valve replacement, she was found to have a near total occlusion of the bioprosthetic mitral inflow by a fungal ball (also positive for Candida Tropicalis).
