Dr. Liesel Brenda Gende’s Main research topics include: Antimicrobial activity of new natural and synthetic compounds against Paenibacillus larvae. Monitoring of American foulbrood by microbiological surveillance. Use of natural substances to control bee diseases. Toxicological activity (CL50) of natural substances (as essential oils, vegetable extracts, etc.) against honeybees (Apis mellifera). Computational modulated of bee diseases. Bees as pollution indicators.
