Biography & Research Interest
Welcome Dr. Sergey I. Pokutnyi to Join the Editorial Board of International Research Journal of Physics.
Sergey I. Pokutnyi is a professor of theoretical physics, doctor of physical and mathematical sciences at the Chuiko Institute of Surface Chemistry, National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Kyiv. His current research interests are theoretical quantum optics, spectroscopy and nanophotonics
nanosystems: theory of excitons and biexcitons in nanosystems, theory of local electron states and theory of transfer energy electron excitation in nanosystems. He has published more than 200 papers in ISI journals and 11 books. He is an associate editor of the Journal of Nanophotonics.
Current research interests
Theoretical quantum optics and spectroscopy nanosystems (electron, exciton and biexciton states in nanosystems containing semiconductors, metal, dielectric, light absorption nanosystems);
Theory of Condenced Matter (theory of excitons in nanosystems, theory of local electron states in nanosystems, theory of transfer energy electron excitation states in nanosystems); Nanophotonics nanosystems (search for nanoheterostructures consisting of semiconductor and dielectric quantum dots, which could be used to create optical nanolasers working on exciton junctions at room transitions; strongly absorbing light nanostructures containing metal, dielectric, semiconductor quantum dots); Magneto – Electrooptics nanosystems (nanoheterosystems that emit electromagnetic waves in the spectrum of terahertz frequencies).
Keywords: theoretical quantum optics and spectroscopy nanosystems, exciton and biexciton states, optical absorption, nanophotonics nanosystems
