Welcome Prof. Gamal I.A. Karrouf to Join the Editorial Board of International Journal of Animal Research.

Experimental Surgery, Anesthesiology and Diagnostic Animal Imaging
Professor Karrouf act as a Lecturer, Associate Prof. and Prof. of Surgery, Anesthesiology and Radiology for graduated and post- graduate students at Fac. Vet .Med, Mansoura University, Egypt, and he supervised on the many of Ph.D. and masters thesis’s from 1998- 2012.
Currently, Dr. Gamal Karrouf is a professor, coordinator of experimental animal unit and director of experimental surgery unit at King Fahd Medical Research Center, King Abdul-Aziz University, Jeddah, Saudi Arabia( 1434- 1437) and at Faculty of Science, Medical Physics Department, King Abdulaziz University, PO. Box 80216 Jeddah 21589, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (1438).

Academic Visits as A Visiting Professor or Discuss Theses
He acts as visiting Professor to Vet. Clinical Sciences of Justus Liebig University Giessen – Germany from 15-2-2009 to 14-8 2009 where I attended many workshops about US, MRI, Neurosurgery, Soft tissues and orthopaedic Surgery in dogs and cats, GIT surgery in ruminants and orthopaedic, Arthroscopic Surgery in horses.

Professor Karrouf has Veterinary Radiology Course aims at enhancement of the veterinary medical education through the development of distance learning resources for some of the veterinary image-based sciences.

2. New Nano Optical Sensor for Early Diagnosis of Histidinemia in Children’s.This Project was funded by the deanship of scientific research (DSR) King Abdulaziz University, Jeddah, under grant No. (141-42-D1436). The authors, therefore, acknowledge with thanks DSR technical and financial support.
