Welcome Dhanashree Vedpathak to Join the Editorial Board of Journal of Microbiome.
Mammalian Cell Culture:
 Cell Lines: CHO, HEK 293, HeLa, MDCK, SH-SY5Y (human neuroblastoma), neuroblast, primary cultures of cortical neurons and astrocytes
 Cell Line Development: pre-GMP cell line development ( MDCK cell line development for cell-based Flu Vaccine production), CHO stable cell line generation to express therapeutic proteins
 Bioreactor: 2L, 5L stirred-tank bioreactor system, bioreactors utilizing Alternating Tangential Flow (ATF) technology, wave bioreactors ( 20L and 100L )
 Tap Biosystems ambr250 and ambr15 mini bioreactor system
 Cell based assays:Luciferase reporter assay,MTT assay
 Electrophoresis, SDS-PAGE, Western blotting,ELISA, HPLC Others:
 Data analysis,DoE, Project Management
 Elucidation of miRNA interaction with Nrf2/ARE pathway
 In the above project we demonstrated role of novelmiR candidates miR153, miR27a, miR142-5p, miR144 in regulating Nrf2 expression in SH-SY5Y neuronal cells. Maintained, passaged, cryopreserved SH-SY5Y Neuroblastoma & neuroblast cell lines for this project
 Ethanol dysregulation of transulfuration pathway in primary cortical neurons
o Maintained primary cortical neuron and astrocyte cultures. Used Waters HPLC to detect cystathionine and cysteine levels in primary cortical neurons treated with ethanol
 Gel-LC MS/MS analysis to do comparative profiling of the cow serum samples Techniques:
