Welcome Dr. Thierno Thiam to Join the Editorial Board of American Journal of History and Culture.
MAJOR ACCOMPLISHMENTS
• Established of Annual Political Science Research Symposium
• Established University-Wide Education Abroad Program
• Co-Lead in the establishment of the first Ph.D. in the Humanities – Integrative Public Policy and Development
• Revived the Political Science Honors Programs
• Secured grants to travel with and send more than 50 students to various Education Abroad programs to five different continents
• Led a major curriculum review for the department of History and Political Science to enhance the students’ academic experience
• Led in Tuskegee’s successful bid to host of the 2018 International Comparative Rural Policy Studies (ICRPS), June 24th-July 7th, details available at 2018.icrps.org.
• Key architect in a variety of agreements between Tuskegee university and domestic and international partners
• Raising the profile of the Department and turning it into a must stop for political actors. Most recent speakers include Mr. Bakari Sellers – CNN – and Mr. Cory Booker – U.S. Senator.

• January 2015 National Political Science Honor Society Chapter Activity Grant (Second time in a row in the history of the Tuskegee University chapter)
• December 2014 Two scholarships for two members of the Political Science Honors Program (Sierra Gray and Maliq Kendricks) from the Alabama Association of Independent Colleges and Universities
• August 2014 All University Conference Faculty Recognition for Contributions to Department of History and Political Science– College of Arts and Sciences
• August 2014 International Student Exchange Programs (ISEP) Conference Grant
• November 2013 Two scholarships for two member of the Political Science Honors Program (Keldrick Stephens and Taylor Salter) from the Alabama Association of Independent Colleges and Universities
