Welcome Prof. Marco Muscettola to Join the Editorial Board of International Journal of Trade and Policy.
Marco Muscettola was born in Italy on November 30, 1975. He studied Economics at the University of Bari (Italy), where he graduated in 1999. Afterward, he started to work as a financial analyst for an important Italian Bank (Banca Popolare di Milano). Competent and committed in Banking & Finance, experienced a strong knowledge of banking processes as well as the planning and practical implementation phases of rating models to forecast the probabilities of default. Independent researcher in the scientific field of Economics and Business Management and Corporate Finance. He has attended few international conferences. The research, carried out both on a personal basis and as a member of a research team, has developed in the following areas: corporate finance, financial modelling, risk/quantitative analysis, financial statement preparation, model of rating, bank-firm relationship.
2006 – Present: Researcher. Independent researcher in the scientific field “Economics and Business Management” and “Corporate Finance”. The research, carried out both on a personal basis and as a member of research group, has developed in the following areas: o Value creation in manufacturing, commercial and financial companies; o Basel 2, the effects on bank-firm relationship and the role of corporate finance; o The management of the investment and financing techniques with a focus on the relationship between banks and firms, particularly small and medium-sized (SMEs), especially in light of the introduction of new assessment models credit (i.e. internal rating systems);
o Screening of companies in view of the degree of solvency and the level of excellence.
2011 – 2013: Academic Researcher. The scientific works were carried out within research projects. In particular, with the involvement in interdisciplinary research on the relationship between industrial companies, the banking system and financial markets and the role of finance in the development of small to medium enterprise. The research has led to participation in numerous seminars and conferences and publication of essays and articles on economics and finance.
2012 – 2013: Assistant Professor.
Assistant professor at the University. The activity includes the teaching of university courses, the participation in examination boards and commissions degree, the activities of tutoring and supporting to students and graduates. In particular, the undergraduate, graduate and postgraduate courses were held at the University of Molise. Collaborate with research and training courses and seminars on strategy and corporate finance.
