THERMAL LOWER LIMBS RESPONSE AFTER ACUTE EXERCISE IN ELDERLY WITH OSTEOARTHRITIS
Introduction: Staying physically active is critical for an individual who has osteoarthritis, depending on the degree of joint inflammation, there will be present a lower mobility, affecting the of daily life activities. Aims: This study investigated the skin thermal response of lower limbs in elderly with or without osteoarthritis before and after exercise. Methods: 70 elderlies (75.1±6.7 yrs., wt: 70.5 ±9.3 kg, ht:1.6±0.1 m, BMI: 29±3.4 kg/m2) were divided in 4 groups: men with osteoarthritis (n=7), men control (n=17), women with osteoarthritis (n=13), women control (n=33). THE PREVALENCE OF SPINAL CORD INJURY SPINAL CORD INJURY IN YOUNG ADULTS IN BRAZIL
Introduction: Spinal cord injury (MRT) is a traumatic external injury that compromises or not the function of the spinal cord or nerve roots. In Brazil it is estimated that about 40 new cases per year per million inhabitants occur. OBJECTIVES: To compare scientific publications through an integrative review, related to the prevalence of MRT in young adults in Brazil. Methodology: This is an integrative review based on articles from LILACS (Latin American and Caribbean Literature in Health Sciences) and SCIELO (Scientific Electronic Library Online), published from 2007 to 2017. It was built in the following phases: 1) problem formulation 2) data collection 3) data evaluation 4) analysis and interpretation 5) presentation of results. Results and Discussion: It was observed that the articles found that deal with spinal cord trauma, point to the prevalence of MRT in an age group that picks up from childhood the old age being more recurrent in young male adults. The results reveal that accidents involving cervical trauma are more frequent in the age group of 20- to 30-year-old males. It has also been observed in state hospitals that TRM injuries generate a longer time of hospitalization and, consequently, an increase in hospitalization costs. The main etiologies of TRM were falls and traffic accidents with cars and motorcycles. Conclusion: It is extremely important to educate the population about the risks of TRM through health education, as well as the creation of preventive campaigns both to reduce the occurrence of traffic accidents and to reduce the incidence of falls.
Introduction to Discourse on Fever of Averroes
The 884th Arabic manuscript from the Royal Monastery of San Lorenzo de El Escorial (Ms. DCCCLXXIX, according to Miquel Casiri´s cataloguing) contains in the folios 1rº-7rº and the folios 63vº-64vº two short treatises written by the great scholar from Cordova Ibn Rushd (Averroes) (1126-1198) on fever and its acute access. The first part (f.1rº to f.7rº), titled in Arabic Talkhīs Kitāb al-ḥummayyāt (Summary of fevers book), is a paraphrase of Galen´s De febris; and the second one (f.63vº to f.64vº) is a booklet that lacks a specific title and it possibly is the work called Masā’il fī-nawā’ib al-ḥummà (Questions about the acute access of fever) or Kalām fī-i‘tiqād zamān al-nūba (Speech on the acute bout of fever time). The present article is an approach to the study of these writings and provides the edition and the translation to English of some fragments as well as a brief introduction to the author and his main oeuvre.

Hygienic-sanitary Conditions of Fish Markets Commercialized in the Municipality of Maceió
Introduction: The search for a healthier diet has led to a worldwide increase in fish consumption in recent years. This also brought a growth of diseases transmitted by this type of food, when outside the quality standards and poor hygienic-sanitary conditions of the establishments in which they are sold. This study aims to evaluate the hygienic-sanitary conditions of fish commercialized in the city of Maceió – Alagoas, contributing to define a microbiological profile of this product. Methodology: Fish samples from six commercial points were collected from commercial establishments, with two replicates at different periods, totaling 12 samples. Microbiological analyzes were performed for total and thermotolerant coliforms, Salmonella spp and Staphylococcus aureus (coagulase-positive), following methodology according to the legislation. . Results and Discussion: Turbidity and gas production were observed in 75% of the total coliform samples and 66.66% of positivity for the samples in the EC tubes, indicating the presence of thermotolerant coliforms. Salmonella spp was absent in all samples. In the Staphylococcus aureus analyzes, only one sample (8.33%) was uncontaminated by this microorganism, however, 91.67% of the samples were contaminated. Conclusion: The sum of these results suggests possible fecal contamination, evidencing unsatisfactory hygienic-sanitary conditions of manipulation of the fish commercialized in the evaluated establishments of the city of Maceió-AL.
